Funeral services for Joyce Ann Scott Brown, 65, of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Monday, May 7, 2007, at 1 p.m., at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown died on Friday, May 4, 2007, at 7:44 a.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long battle with cancer. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Brown was born on February 13, 1942, in Christian County. She was the daughter of the late Willie Mitchell and Mary Kate Gentry Scott.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Harold Scott, Bobby Merle Scott, and Alferd Eugene Scott; and three sisters, Wanda Faye Davis, Mildred (Lib) Henderson, and Marie Adcock.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, James Floyd Brown of Hopkinsville; three daughters, Elaine Haley of Hopkinsville, Roxanne Hollis of Elkton, and Tabatha Brown Hawkins of Madisonville; three brothers, Joe Scott and Teddy Scott, both of Hopkinsville, and Leslie Scott of Florida; three sisters, Mardell Francis and Betty Craft, both of Hopkinsville, and Katie Seager of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Carol Ann Haley, Will Haley, Randell Hollis, and Zack Hawkins; and one great-grandchild.
