Juanita was very active in politics (first woman Republican Precinct Committeeman), church and community activities. Besides being a real estate agent and a broker, she also served as president of the PTA, president of the Crete Woman’s Club and chairman of the Garden Walk. After losing her husband, Juanita lived her dream and traveled the world. She lived in Jamaica for a few years and then visited many countries collecting wonderful photos and interesting experiences.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Andrew Andersen and her parents Elsie (Mossman) and Glen Roberts.
Locally survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Pat) Williams, Cadiz, Ky. She is survived by her sister Helen Marie Josten; son, Bruce (Claudetts); daughters Sylvia (Ed) Neitzel, Pat(John) Williams, Judy (Gene) Tayler, Janet Furnish; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at the Crete United Methodist Church on Sunday April 19 at 1 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crete United Methodist Church or to the Crete Food Pantry would be appreciated.
