Funeral services for Keegan James Mangels, 10, of Cadiz, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at King’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Jason Strickland and Trigg County fifth grade teacher Lisa Ford will officiate. Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at King’s Funeral Home.

Keegan died at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009 as a result of injuries suffered in a bicycle accident.

Keegan was born July 14, 1998 in Paradise Valley, Ariz. He attended Crossroads Fellowship Church and was a member of the Trigg County wrestling team and archery team. He had just completed the fifth grade ata Trigg County Intermediate School and was set to enter the sixth grade at Trigg County Middle School this fall.

Keegan is survived by his parents, James R. and Lisa Mangels of Cadiz; two brothers, DuncanM. Mangels and Aydan R. Mangels, both of Cadiz; paternal grandparents Richard and Patricia Mangels of Sun City, Calif.; aunt Lynn Poelhman of Galloway, Ohio; and two cousins, Max and Samantha Poelhman of Galloway, Ohio.

Keegan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Edwards of Phoenix, Ariz.
