Mr. P’Pool died at after a short illness 5 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He was born November 19, 1942 in Trigg County to the late Waymon Lester P’Pool and Imogene Hite P’Pool.
He was a member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz, was retired as owner and operator of Kelly’s Studio, served as the 5th District Magistrate on Trigg County Fiscal Court from 1985-2006, served as County Judge-Executive Pro-Tem and represented the fiscal court on several regional and Pennyrile Area Development District committees, was a past school board member, Kentucky Colonel, United States Navy veteran, an Amish driver and farmer.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Peggy Herndon P’Pool of Cadiz; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Donald Bush of Cadiz and Kristi and Dave Wimsatt, Houston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law: Don and Gray P’Pool of Bowling Green; sister and brother-in-law: Betty Jean and Bob Lester of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Donald Bush, III and Sierra Bush of Cadiz and Kelsey and Delaney Wimsatt of Houston, Texas;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Fred Kendall P’Pool.
Pallbearers are Donald Bush, Jr., Donald Bush, III, Dave Wimsatt, Fox Dawson, Ray Dillard, Cecil Carr andDon P’Pool. Music will be provided by Shelia Lancaster, vocalist.
Memorial donations may be made to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital or to the VA.
