Funeral services with military honors for Kennety R. Elmore, 63, of Cadiz, were held Friday, June 18, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Kevin Roberts officiated.

Mr. Elmore died of natural causes at 12:09 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Elmore was born on April 11, 1947 in Louisville. His parents were Robert Elmore and Viola VanMeter Elmore.

He was retired from United Auto Workers Local 148 representing Douglas Products Division of Boeing in Long Beach, Calif. He was a United States Marine veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Cadiz Lions Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7890, American Legion Post 74, Marine Corps League, Pennyrile Area Honor Guard Team and was a volunteer for the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors include sons Steven R. Elmore and wife Mary Ann of Dallas, Ore., and Dennis B. Elmore of Corina, Calif.; sisters Charlotte Brown and husband Manuel of Cadiz and Karen Elmore of Bardstown; aut Euthelda Shaw of Louisville and grandchildren Breana Elmore, Caitlin Elmore, Lucas Elmore and Jacob Elmore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Wanda Elmore.

Members of the Cadiz Lions Club served as honorary pallbearers. Music was provided by Bruce Higbee, vocalist.
