Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area is now accepting applications for the 2009 seasonal camping program.

There are a total of 121 campsites in the seasonal camping program available for two to nine months at Hillman Ferry, Piney, and Wranglers Campgrounds. Rushing Creek, Cravens Bay, Taylor Bay, and Redd Hollow Campgrounds have a total of 36 short-term (one to six months) sites available.

The selection process for seasonal site reservations is designed to allow for the maximum amount of participation in the program. Completed applications must be turned in by January 9, 2009, and the selection process will be held January 17, for sites in Hillman Ferry and Piney Campgrounds.

Deadline for applications for sites in Wranglers, Rushing Creek, Cravens Bay, Taylor Bay, and Redd Hollow Campgrounds is January 16, with the selection process taking place January 24. All applicants must be present during the selection process, and payment is required in full upon site selection.

For complete details on camping regulations or for more information regarding the seasonal campsites and the application process, or to get an application, contact LBL’s Customer Service Department at 270-924-2044.
