Funeral services with Military Honors for Lacy Adams, 84, of Cadiz, were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home.

The Rev. Richard Bates officiated. Burial followed in the Wall Cemetery in Wallonia.

Mr. Adams died of natural causes at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his residence in Cadiz.

Mr. Adams was born Sunday, February 14, 1926 in Wallonia. He was the son of the late Jagoe and Lois Helen Barnes Adams.

Mr. Adams was retired from Whirlpool Corp. with 35 years of service. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Wallonia Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joan Adams, son Michael Adams, brothers Guy Adams and Adrian Adams and great grandchild Trinity Baird.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Glenda and Eddie Boazof Princeton, Reba and Joe Miller of Cadiz, Pam and Bud Ingram of Cadiz; two brothers, Dexter Adams of Cadiz and Willard Adams of Green Bay, Wis.; four sisters, Margaret P’Pool of Cadiz, Nancy Ferguson of Eddyville, Venice Overby of Princeton and Margie Thomas of Eddyville; grandchildren Jennifer Dixon, Ashley Boaz, Melissa Boaz, Shanna Miller, Gentry Miller, Terrance Miller, Dusty Adams, Kyle Ingram, Jon Michael Adams and David Anderson; great grandchildren Kelsie Dixon, John Meredith, Warren Boaz, Tori Miller, Trenton Baird, Tristan Baird, Ashten Adams, Aleyah Adams, Kiera Adams and Michael Gauge Adams; and great-great grandchild Sidney Gamboa.

Serving as pallbearers were Dusty Adams, Kyle Ingram, Gentry Miller, Terrance Miller, John Michael Adams, David Anderson, John David Meredith and Warren Boaz.

Kyle Ingram, vocalist, and Brad Shuck, pianist, provided the music.

Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
