Trigg County went another six days without games last week between a 3-1 loss at Todd County Central last Tuesday and a 12-0 loss Monday against Livingston County Central in a game moved to Lyon County.
The loss to Livingston, a 5th District foe, left Trigg winless against district competition. The two teams were already set for a first-round matchup in the district tournament, with the Lady ‘Cats as the No. 4 seed and Livingston at the top. Trigg will host the tournament, and the time and date will be set at the seed meeting Wednesday.
In Monday’s loss, Trigg’s bats never got started while the Lady Cardinals exploded for 10 runs in the second inning.
Trigg had five baserunners in the contest, but they all came from walks.
