Trigg lost 53-49 last Tuesday to St. Mary and 67-44 on Saturday against Logan County on Homecoming Night.
On Saturday, the Lady ‘Cats got off to a slow start and fell behind 35-12 at halftime. A solid second half kept the deficit from growing larger.
Alyssa Maxey scored 15 points to lead the Lady ‘Cats. Morgan Parker chipped in 11 and was the only other Trigg player to score in double figures.
Against the Lady Vikings, Trigg trailed by as many as nine points in the first half and fought back to tie the score at 44-44 with 3:36 left in the fourth quarter, but St. Mary was able to clinch the win at the free throw line, going 9-for-12 at the stripe in the final frame.
Ashley Matlock was the only Trigg player in double figures, scoring 14 points.
Tuesday’s game at University Heights was canceled due to weather. Trigg is set to play Friday at Caldwell County. The game will be played at the old Butler Gym in Princeton. Trigg is then set to host Todd County Central on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
