Dori Sheehan and Brooke Kearney contributed four points each for the Lady Cats. Elysia Brown and Audrey Futrell rounded out the Trigg County scoring with three and two points, respectively.

The Lady Cats led Lyon County 12-9 at the end of the first quarter. Trigg County owned the second quarter, outscoring the Lady Lyons 11-3 en route to a 23-12 halftime lead.

“This was a great win for our ball team,” said Trigg County Coach Amy Breckel. “We really needed a boost and I hope that this will give us that going in to the last half of our season. The biggest difference between this game and the others was the girls hustle. We talked a lot last week about getting tougher and more aggressive out on the floor and that came to fruition Friday night.”

The Trigg County girls’ basketball coach was quick to commend her seniors.
