Lady Wildcats spike Crittenden to remain perfect in district

Trigg County ran their district mark to a perfect 4-0 with a 25-23, 24-26, 25-19 win over Crittenden County Sept. 22 in Marion.

Trigg played from behind for most of the game, trailing 11-4 at one point in the third game. The Lady Wildcats rallied to tie the game at 14 and forged ahead 19-17 before putting the Lady Rockets away for good.

Cayla Hampton had 15 kills, two aces, and five blocks, while Casey Banister had 24 assists and two kills, and Stacy Schoneman had five aces and six kills.

Molly Thompson added two kills and two blocks, and Keisha Stewart had three kills, two blocks, and one ace.

Trigg County improved to 14-12 with the win, while Crittenden County fell to 11-8.

Crittenden County won the J.V. game 21-6, 21-12.

The Lady Wildcats return to action Thursday at home against Reidland at 7 p.m.
