Lady Wildcats undefeated through first three

ELKTON – In their last game before a weeklong break from games, the Trigg County Lady Wildcat soccer team shutout Todd County 5-0 Thursday.

Freshman forward Lauren Frazier recorded her second hat trick of the season with three goals, and senior Kelci Winn netted the other two scores. Brooke Allen, Brooklyn Thomas and Ashley Wigand each had an assist, and goalkeeper Katie Davis recorded 10 saves.

Trigg also won the junior varsity match 3-2.

The win bumped Trigg’s record to 3-0 on the season heading into this weekend’s games in the Henderson County Invitational. The Lady ‘Cats will Saturday at 11 a.m. against Madisonville-North Hopkins and at 6 p.m. against the host Lady Colonels.

Trigg will play its first home match of the season Tuesday against Owensboro Catholic. Eight of the team’s final 11 games of the season will be played at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.
