The Rev. Johnny Hawkins officiated at the services. Burial followed at the Lawrence Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mr. Hinson died at 11 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2009 at his residence in Elizabethtown of natural causes.
Mr. Hinson was born Monday, August 7, 1950, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Hoy Hollis and Opal Jean Wilson Hinson Raper.
Mr. Hinson was employed with Roy T. Goodwin Trucking. He was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Johnny Hinson and James Dale Hinson.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-laws, Stacey Dean of Elizabethtown, and Melissa and Robert Jaggers of Elizabethtown; adopted daughter, Samantha Adkins, one brother, Tommy Hinson of Henderson, four sisters, Connie Hawkins, Dottie Hendricks, Sandra Carnes and Charlotte Yancey all of Cadiz; three grandchildren, Alyssa Dean, Cobe Jaggers, and Guillermo Somarriba, III.
Serving as pallbearers were J.L. Hendricks, Jr., Bobby Hendricks, Hollis Hendricks, Timmy Hendricks, Ricky Hawkins, Dale Wyatt, Jr.,, and Tojo Oliver.
Barbara Jean Futrell, pianist provided the music.
