Funeral services for Larry Lee Cook, 64, of Jacksonville, Fla., were conducted on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at 7:30 p.m., at the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Danny Collis officiating.

Graveside services were conducted on Friday, October 5, 2007, at 10 a.m., at Little River Cemetery in Trigg County, with Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Eugene Powell officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Cemetery.

Mr. Cook died on Saturday, September 29, 2007, at 1:45 a.m., at St. Vincent Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., of natural causes.

Mr. Cook was born on February 10, 1943, in Miami, Fla. He was the son of Lillie Mae Suit Cook of McCayesville, Ga., and the late Emmett Cook.

Mr. Cook was a retired Maintenance Supervisor of Celotex Manufacturing; was a member of Damascus Baptist Church; and was a U.S. Marine veteran.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Lee Cook and Debra Elaine Cook; a brother, Robert Cook; and a sister, Linda Phillips.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Daphne Cook of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Carl Dean Cook of Cadiz; six brothers, Dempsey Cook of Turtletown, Tenn., Dennis Cook of Blue Ridge, Ga., Johnny Cook of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Bill Cook of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jimmy Cook and Emmett Cook, Jr., both of Farner, Tenn.; three sisters, Doris Dean and Jewell Deal, both of Blue Ridge, Ga., and Gail Sitton of Chatsworth, Ga.; two grandchildren, Sabrina Marie Cook and Madison LeeAnn Cook.
