Funeral services for Larry “Whiskers” Terrell were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home.

The Rev. Richard Sexton officiated at the services. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mr. Terrell died at 9:36 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Ind., of natural causes.

Mr. Terrell was born Sunday, July 15, 1945 in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Robert Joe and Nellie Myrtle Peal Terrell.

Mr. Terrell was a heavy equipment operator in the coalmines. He restored antique tractors and collected pedal tractors. He was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, April Terrell.

Survivors include his wife Kathie Terrell of Madisonville; one daughter, Tonia Terrell of Louisville; two brothers, Charles Terrell of Cadiz and Doris Terrell of Cadiz; two sisters, Glenda Walker of Cadiz and Wanda Freels of Cadiz; one aunt, Gracie Baker of Cadiz, one uncle, Ed Terrell of Louisville and several nieces and nephews.

Serving, as pallbearers were Marc Terrell, Kevin Terrell, Chris Freels, Mike Terrell, Steve Terrell, Ron Terrell, Stan Guess and Lofton Stallons.

Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Stallons, Gaylon Stallons, Tony Fowler, Charles Littlejohn, Nathaniel “Rachet” Baldwin, Larry Clardey, Micke Crick, Gayle Terrell, Max “Butch” Clayton.

Joan Terrell, pianist, and Missy Fowler, vocalist, provided the music.
