Laura Jewell Weaver, 83, of, Cadiz, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville. The Rev. Lester Watson officiated. Entombment followed at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Weaver died at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 of natural causes at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

She was born on January 16, 1927 in Blackshear, Ga to James Evan Morgan and Sophia Baxten Morgan.

Mrs. Weaver was the owner and operator of Suttles Electrical Co. in Pensacola, Fla. and a member of the Elks Lodge in Pensacola, Fla. Laura was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Eugene Weaver; parents James Evan Morgan and Sophia Baxten Morgan; one brother, John R. Morgan; four sisters, Naomi Sellers, Leona Dixon, Louise Todd and Maude Wilson.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda L. Meredith of Cadiz; one granddaughter, Teresa Kitaeff of Burke, Va.; five great grandchildren, Hayleigh and Myles Allingham, Isaih, Moriah and Mortgi Kitaeff, all of Burke, Va.
