Funeral services for Lela Bell Coleman McGee, 69, of Cadiz, were conducted on Friday, March 17, 2006, at 2 p.m., at First Street Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.

Rev. James Dunbar officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cave Springs Cemetery in Hopkinsville.

Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville was in charge of all the arrangements.

Mrs. McGee died on Friday, March 10, 2006, at 2:18 p.m., at her residence of natural causes.

Mrs. McGee was born on October 21, 1936, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lela Tandy Coleman.

Mrs. McGee was a homemaker, and was a member of Church Hill Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, where she was Secretary of the Sunday School, and President of the Choir.

In addition to her parents, a son and a sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, James Roy McGee; five sons, Richard Lee McGee, Charles C. McGee, Terry L. McGee, and Dan F. McGee, all of Hopkinsville, and Russell M. McGee of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Estelle McGee, Peggy Ann McGee, and Loretta M. Lewis, all of Hopkinsville; four brothers, Gwyen Coleman of Hopkinsville, Douglas Coleman of Indianapolis, Ind., Robert Lee Coleman of St. Louis, Mo., and Rev. Ernest Coleman of Lafayette.; two sisters, Alice B. Dulin and Lucille McCombs, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; nineteen grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
