Rev. Irvin Darnall officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Boren Cemetery No. 2 in Trigg County.
Mrs. Boren died on Monday, January 2, 2006, at 11:55 a.m., at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Boren was born on June 21, 1915, in Stewart County, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Varner Wallace and Willie Mae Shelton Wallace Stinson.
Mrs. Boren was a homemaker; a member of Pugh Flat Baptist Church; and a member of Linton Chapter #149 Order of the Eastern Star for 59 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Franklin Boren; son, Harvey Franklin Boren; three brothers, Jim Wallace, Lacy Wallace, and Deloyd Wallace; and two sisters, Hazel Curry and Luna Shelton.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Hilma Boren, and Tony Boren, all of Hopkinsville, Dale and Joy Boren, and Tommy and Roxie Boren, all of Cadiz; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Palmer, Linda and Sid Armstrong, and Debbie and Danny Palmer, all of Cadiz; sister, Ethel Lay of Clarksville, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Jody Terrell and Janay Futrell, vocalists, Stacy Futrell, vocalist and guitarist, and Barbara Jean Futrell, pianist, provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Micheal Batchelor, Gary Boren, Scotty Hightower, James Hightower, Benji Boren, and Kenny Wilfong.
