Funeral services for Linda Lou Richards Cox, 49, of Cadiz, were conducted on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. James Cox and Danny Mitcheson officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Sholar Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mrs. Cox died on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 6:12 p.m., at her home after a long battle with cancer.

Mrs. Cox was born on October 2, 1959, in Louisville. She was the daughter of Lucille Samuels Lunsford of Shelbyville, and the late Mark Richards, Jr.

Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and a member of Passions Church in Cadiz.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Whitehouse.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Ricky Cox of Cadiz; four brothers, Kenny Richards, Stevie Richards, Ricky Richards, and Howard Richards, all of Shelbyville; a sister, Anita Grigsby of Shelbyville; and her mother-in-law, Juanita Cook of Cadiz.

Katie Cox, pianist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were: Lacy Cox, Sr., Timothy Snyder, Ronnie Wayne Snyder, Steven Tarrence, Leon Rathburn, Micah Calhoun, Chris Cox, Jason Edmonds, and Kenny Richards.

Honorary pallbearers were Whitney Snyder, Callie Snyder, Samantha Stokes, Wesley Cox, Tiffani Cox, Cozanna Rathburn, Timothy Rathburn, Jeannie Claussen, and Laken Calhoun.
