Mr. Boyd was born on March 14, 1987, in Trigg County. He was the son of James Boyd and Johnetha Martin Boyd, both of Cadiz.
He was a senior at Trigg County High School and a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz.
Visitation services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Trigg County High School Gymnasium. Pastor Frank Larkins will officiate the service with burial to follow in Rocky Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
In addition to his parent’s one brother, Bryant Boyd of Cadiz and one sister, Ja’niah Boyd of Cadiz, survive him. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather Iven Boyd of Cadiz; maternal grandfather, Harrison Martin, III of Cadiz; maternal great-grandparents Harrison and Bertha Martin of Cadiz; god-mother, Mary Ladd Dixon of Cadiz; god-father, Harry Lander of Louisville and god-sister T’Ana Dixon of Cadiz.
Visitation and funeral services will be held jointly with DeMarco Shemwell.
