Funeral Services for Lucy Mae Ladd, 84, of Cadiz, were conducted on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Revs. Christopher Woods, Shalmon Radford and Simon Radford officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Ladd died on Friday, February 6, 2009, at 12:27 a.m. at Kindred Hospital, Nashville, TN, of natural causes.

Mrs. Ladd was born January 14, 1925, in Trigg County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Shalmon and Lois Irving Kirby.

Mrs. Ladd was a cook in the Culinary Department for the Trigg County School System. She was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for 32 plus years, youth choir director 32 years and a member of the Senior Choir and the Culinary Committee.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ladd.

Survivors include two daughters, Portia Mann, Cadiz, and Dorothy Grubbs, Indianapolis, IN, two sons John Ladd, Hopkinsville, and Sanford Irvin, Bowling Green, seventeen grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
