uneral services for Luna Mae Baker Sanders, 90, of Lexington, formerly of Trigg County, were conducted on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Rev. Bill Bursztynski officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Mrs. Sanders died on Saturday, February 3, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington of natural causes.

Mrs. Sanders was born on August 29, 1916, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Blake and Lenora Ingram Baker.

Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker, and was a member of Wallonia Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Layton Sanders; two sons, Homer Prentice Sanders, and William Hershel Sanders; two daughters, Linda Sue Sanders and Nancy Jo Sanders; three brothers, Home Baker, Thomas “Cute” Baker, and Edward Baker; a sister, Elizabeth Hargrove Morris; and a grandson, Chris Raymond Osborne.

Survivors include a son, Gary Wayne Sanders of Cadiz; two daughters, Sammie Elizabeth Rodriquez and Betsy Sanders, both of Lexington; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were David White, David Osborne, Wayne Wathen, Elvis Wathen, Gary Sanders, and Cary Sanders.
