Pallbearers were Joe Guess, Lewis McCormick, Jimmy Cunningham, Farman Ladd, George Pyle and John R. Vinson III.
Mrs. Martin died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Christian Care Communities in Hopkinsville.
She was a member of Millbrooke Christian Church, where she served as former Sunday School Teacher. She had also attended Wallonia Christian Church.
She was a retired teacher of 32 years – she taught in one room schools, in Cerulean, Casey Creek, Flat Lick, Sinking Fork High School and Trigg County High School.
Survivors include sisters Pauline Futrell Carr and Mildred Futrell Humphreys of Hopkinsville; nephews James R. Carr of Hopkinsville, Mark Humphreys of Cadiz, Dr. Harry Futrell of Panama City, Fla. and Dr. Allan Futrell, Louisville; nieces Nina Carr Horn, Hopkinsville, Jane Futrell Winslow of Manhattan, Kan., and Susan Humphreys Samuels of Torrance, Calif.; 17 great nieces and nephews; 13 great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by father Harl C. Futrell and mother Erwin (Wilson) Futrell, husband William Edward “Ted” Martin, brother Harl Clayton Futrell and niece Martha Ann (Futrell) Kaump.
