Funeral services for Major Brown, Jr., 72, of Princeton, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

The Rev. Tommy Tackett officiated the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery with military rights.

Mr. Brown died of natural causes at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Brown was born June 28, 1937 in Caldwell County. He was the son of the late Major Brown, Sr. and Agnes Toy Ray Brown.

He was a member of First Baptist Church and former owner of Marquess Office Equipment.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Brown, Clifton Brown, Phillip Brown and William Ewing Brown; and two sisters, Laura Katherine Phelps and Hilda Jane Drennan.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda Lane Brown; two daughters, Molly Moller of Princeton and Sally Cotton and husband Jamie of Caldwell County; and four grandchildren, Mary Hannah Moller, Lane Moller, Ella Kay Cotton and Ethan Cotton.
