Man Injured in Wreck on Ice

A Cadiz man was sent to the hospital on Monday, Jan. 19, after his vehicle overturned on Roaring Spring Road at 5:50 a.m. According to report by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, there was a patch of ice on the roadway, which was not well lit.

Levi Robinson, 19, was traveling east on KY 164, also known as Roaring Spring Road, and was about one mile east of KY 139 when he lost control of his Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, which ran off of the left shoulder and collided with the embankment, and the truck overturned and landed on its roof in the westbound lane, the report said.

The sheriff’s department was notified at 5:55 a.m. and responded at 6:33 a.m., with the roadway reopened at 7:35 a.m.; the pickup truck sustained severe damage, said the report.

According to Trigg County Sheriff Randy Clark, Robinson sustained minor injuries and was sent to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
