Well I made it back to Cadiz Safe and Sound Sunday afternoon after photographing 11 college basketball games in three days.

March Madness takes a new meaning for me this year as I saw the Murray State Women’s team earn their first NCAA Tourney bid in school history. For the seniors on that squad it was a chance to come full circle going from the bottom of the OVC to the Peak.

Now the real Adventure begins as people start to speculate on where the Racers will go. Many I talked to in Nashville think they earned a date with Murray Coach Jody Adams facing mentor Pat Summitt.

ESPN.com bracketology projects them to play the California bears out in California at the Stanford University campus. We will find out there destination on selection Monday March 17th.

Speaking of Stanford, that brings us to Jonathan King who was named to the All-Region team for the Region Two Basketball Coaches Association. The region’s Player of the Year was UHA’s Scotty Hopson. As you have probably read in Monty’s Column this kid’s the real deal and Coaches are jockeying for position to gain his services in college.

Now back to our guy Mr. King who I could see winning next years Region 2 Player of the Year award and be in the race for a few other awards as well.
