Mrs. Young was a retired civil service employee and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. She was a native of Corydon, Ind.
Surviving are her husband, Jack Gray Young; two daughters, Susan Richter Davis of Anderson, S.C., and Elaine Kaye Richter of Charleston, S.C.; one son, James Eric Richter of Anderson, S.C.; and four grandchildren.
Her parents were Thomas Rice and Margaret Ellen Gailey Stewart.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 29 at Jones Cemetery in Trigg County. The Rev. Don Mock officiated.
