Graveside services for Margaret Freeman Stone, 85, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Trigg County, were conducted on Monday, October 31, 2005, at 11 a.m., at East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Rev. Norman Ellis officiated at the service. Burial followed in the Cemetery.

Mrs. Stone died on Friday, October 28, 2005, at 9:30 p.m., at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., following a long illness.

Mrs. Stone was born on December 3, 1919, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Lindsay Freeman and Flora Dunning Banister.

Mrs. Stone was retired as Office Manager from Thomas Sheet Metal Company in Lexington; and was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church in Lexington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey L. Stone, in May 2000; and three step-brothers, John Banister, Percy Banister, and Lacy Banister.

Survivors include a brother, Claude E. Banister of Germantown, Tenn.; a step-sister, Mary B. Graham of Cadiz; a niece, Kimberly B. Shropshire of Collierville, Tenn.; a nephew, John Pat Banister of Germantown, Tenn.; a great-niece, Kayleigh Banister; two great-nephews, John Pat Banister, Jr., and Jackson Evan Shropshire; and an uncle, Frank Freeman of Trigg County.
