Rev. Mark Choate officiated at the services. Burial followed at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Christian County.
Ms. Sweat died on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 5:45 p.m. at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital, Bowling Green, KY following a long illness.
Ms. Sweat was born March 22, 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Ira Edwards and La Rue DeBow Patty.
Ms. Sweat was retired from Cypress Minerals as a Ply Operator. She was a member of the gold field chapter of the Eastern Star In Nevada. She was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents her husband, Ralph Sweat, and one sister Libby McGregor preceded her in death.
Survivors include, two daughters and son-in-law: Leota and Mike Holloway, Cadiz, Kim Wilson, Bowling Green, KY, one son Dennis Sheets, Bowling Green, KY, one sister, Lois Hood, Jacksonville, Florida, and six grandchildren, Amanda Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Michael Holloway, Clint Holloway, Lauren Holloway, and Allen Sheets.
Pallbearers will include: Aaron Wilson, Michael Holloway, Clint Holloway, Mike Holloway, Kenneth Holloway, Mike Sweat, and Cody Sweat.
