Funeral services for Mary Anne Baker Carr, 76, of Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Cadiz, were conducted on Monday, September 12, 2005, at 1 p.m., at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel in Clarksville.

Dr. Roger Freeman officiated at the services. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Carr died on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at her home.

Mrs. Carr was born on March 2, 1929, in Cadiz. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Evelyn Cunningham Baker.

Mrs. Carr was a retired teacher from St. Bethlehem Elementary School; a member of the First Baptist Church; and a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Carr, Sr., of Clarksville; a son, Thomas Carr, Jr., of Clarksville; a daughter, Karen Slate of Clarksville; two sisters, Elaine Sanders of Cadiz, and Cora Atkinson of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Jason Dailey, and Mary Harris, both of Clarksville, and six great-grandchildren.
