Funeral services for Mary Grace Jones, 95, of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Irvin Darnell and Bill Bursztynski officiated at the services. Burial followed at Wall Cemetery, in Wallonia.

Mrs. Jones died on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at 1:28 p.m. at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz of natural causes.

Mrs. Jones was born on Saturday, December 23, 1911, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Walter Edgar and Moda Jane (Gresham) Perry.

Mrs. Jones was retired from the Trigg County School System where she was a Cafeteria worker and she also worked for the Trigg County Senior Citizens Center for 16 years. She was a member of the Wallonia Baptist Church; she was the oldest member and had been a member for 83 years. She was also a former Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Montgomery Homemakers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fay Terry Jones, two sons, George “Buddy” Jones, Jerry Jones, and four brothers, Roy Perry, Early Perry, Sr., Clint Perry, and Clarence Perry.

Survivors include two daughters and son in law, Evelyn and Tommy Campbell, of Goodlettsville, TN, and Peggy Cherry, of Nashville, TN, two grandchildren, Rebecca Jones, and Charles Campbell, five great grandchildren, Isaac Campbell, Will Jones, Brittany Johnson Jones, Alyssa Witt, and Zack Lockhart.

Serving, as pallbearers were Jimmy Towler, Joe McCormick, Craig Perry, Winston Perry, Mike Wright, Jay Witty, and Charles Campbell.
