Revs. Roy Marquess, Jr., and Irvin Darnall officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mrs. Flanagan died on Monday, April 3, 2006, at 8:01 p.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Flanagan was born on January 16, 1912, in Canton. She was the daughter of the late James Edgar and Sarah “Sally” Vance Boyd Holland.
Mrs. Flanagan was the retired owner and operator of Flanagan’s Fish Market; and was a member of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Oscar Flanagan; a sister, Virgie Curling; seven brothers, Remus Holland, Jim Holland, Alfred Holland, Willie Holland, Eddie Holland, Sr., Nay Holland, and Elmis Holland; a nephew, Eddie Holland, Jr.; niece, Flora Mae Simpson; and great-nephew and niece, Roger and Brenda Light.
Survivors include a niece, Mary Dell Light; niece-in-law, Margaret Holland; great-nieces and nephews, Sharon and Larry Hooks, Donald and Patricia Simpson, Jewell and Jimmy Woody, and Kathy and Ken Whitaker, all of Cadiz, and Mike Holland of Hopkinsville.
Serving as pallbearers were Dustin Light, Mike Holland, Kyle Hooks, Jason Simpson, Donald Simpson, and Larry Hooks.
Rev. Roy Marquess, Jr., vocalist, and Martha Fortner, organist provided the music.
