Revs. Don Mock and John Hagen will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mrs. Sholar died on Sunday, August 6, 2006, at 7 a.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Sholar was born on November 6, 1920, in Stewart County, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late John Tillman and Luvenia Knight Sowell.
Mrs. Sholar was retired from Western State Hospital as a seamstress, and was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud Sowell and Johnny Sowell; and six sisters, Minnie Phillips, Gracie Curtis, Lucille Sowell, Estell Bryant, Leona Morris, Essie Bea Knight, and Elizabeth Knight.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Noble Sholar; two sons and daughter-in-law, Dalton and Brenda Sholar and Wendell Sholar, all of Gracey; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Agnes and Berlin Moore of Cadiz; two sisters, Ida Lancaster of Bumpus Mills, Tenn., and Flossie Jones of Kansas.; six grandchildren, Chris Sholar, Matt Sholar, Wade Sholar, Stan Moore, and Stephanie Boshell; and five great-grandchildren, Carter Sholar, Mary Madeline Sholar, Whitney Boshell, MacKayla Phillips, and Peyton Phillips.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Sholar, Matt Sholar, Wade Sholar, Stan Moore, Stephanie Boshell, and Dale Gibbs.
Vicki Bridges, organist, will provide the music.
