Funeral services for Mattie Bell Radford Wadlington, 86, of Cerulean, were conducted on Friday, October 24, 2008, at 11 a.m., at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.

Rev. Moses Radford officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cave Spring Cemetery in Cerulean.

Mrs. Wadlington died on Sunday, October 19, 2008, early a.m., at her home of natural causes.

Mrs. Wadlington was born on April 15, 1922, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Charlie L. and Betty Roach Radford.

Mrs. Wadlington was a homemaker and a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church in Cerulean.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Bell Wadlington.

Survivors include eight sons, Harris Boyd, Henry Wadlington, Richard Wadlington, Clayton W. Wadlington, and Robert Wadlington, all of Cadiz, Rev. Charles Irvin, Jr., of Terre Haute, Ind., and Clayton W. Wadlington and Neal Wadlington, both of Cerulean; four daughters, Emma Rascoe of Cerulean, Verna Watkins of Hopkinsville, Rheda Gibson of Montclair, Va., and Linda Baker of El Paso, Texas; a brother, Elgene Radford of Hopkinsville; a sister, Ella Brandon of Cerulean; 33 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
