Funeral services for Mildred L. Denney, 86, of Cadiz, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at Scheer Memorial Chapel in Oroville, Calif. Robert E. Adams will officiate. Burial will follow at the Oroville Memorial Park with Military Rites. Visitation will be from 6–8 p.m. Tuesday at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Scheer Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Denney died of natural causes at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Princeton Health & Rehab in Princeton.

Mrs. Denney was born July 22, 1924 in Maxwell, Okla. to the late Charlie Peter Rhyne and Lillie Mae Middleton Rhyne.

Mrs. Denney was a homemaker, a member of the Cadiz Church of Christ, member of the United States Army Air Force and served in WWll. She also worked as an assistant to the county clerk in Oroville, Calif. At one time, she worked in a cannery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee James Denney; two brothers, three sisters and two daughters.

Survivors include one sister, Avol Lee of Mountain Home, Ark.; one daughter, Deanna Nelson (and husband Dennis) of Cadiz; two grandchildren, Gwen Nelson of Cadiz and Dusty Wilson (and wife Lisa) of Cadiz; four great-grandchildren, Devin Nelson of Cadiz, Jordan Nelson of Calif., Amber Oliver of Cadiz and Brooklyn Oliver of Cadiz.
