Graveside Services for Mildred Bland Morrison, 86, of Springfield, Ohio, were conducted on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at 11 a.m., in the Joiner’s Chapel Cemetery in Trigg County, Ky. Littleton & Rue Funeral Home in Springfield, Ohio, were in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Morrison died on Friday, October 24, 2008, in Springfield Regional Medical Center-East High St. Campus.

Mrs. Morrison was born on December 13, 1921, in Bumpus Mills, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Leamon W. and Ollia May Smith Bland.

Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Local 658 and was a volunteer at the 100F and Masonic Homes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Morrison; a son Richard Lawton Morrison, II; a sister, Dorothy Wilson; two brothers, James Bland and L. Smith Bland; and two grandchildren, Brett and Theresa Hopson.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Ginger Hopson of Springfield; a sister, Elizabeth Abney of Evansville, Ind.; two grandchildren and spouses, Jodi and Keith Moody and Brandon and Tamara Morrison; four great grandchildren, Levi and Hannah Morrison and Grace and Olivia Moody; and several nieces and nephews.
