Funeral services for Mr. Morris E. Meredith, 55, of Cadiz, were held at at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 , Reverend Bobby McIntosh and Reverend David Butler officiating. Interment is at East End Cemetery in Cadiz. Arrangements were handled by Goodwin Funeral Home.

Meredith died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  

He was an independent contractor in freight transportation, and was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church.  

Mr. Meredith was preceded in Death by: Father-William Hook and Mother-Ruth Virginia (Mitchell) Hook, two brothers-Billy Hook and Frank “Junior” Mitchell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years- Sonja Sandy-Meredith of Cadiz; One Daughter, Nicole Lundon of Pinellas Park, Fla.,  One Son & Daughter-In-Law, Nathan & Donna Meredith of Utica, four Sisters & Brother-In-Laws, Phyllis & Ronnie Hensarling of Petal, Miss., Lena Frances & Jerry Adams of Hopkinsville, Imogene & Bill Fathering of Kuttawa, and Ida & Jerome Riggs of Madisonville.  

He is also survived by one Brother & Sister-In-Law, Douglas  & Sandy Hook of Danvers, Mass. Three grandchildren-Alex, Lucas, and Madyson Meredith.  Aunts and Uncle- Martha “Ma” & Walton Ebling and Aunt Marie Lance, all of Hopkinsville.
