Last Wednesday, Cadiz residents enjoyed a homemade lunch to benefit the Ms. Fits Relay For Life team at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.

According to Ms. Fits member, and Relay Co-chair Dannye Wagner, the Ms. Fits team prepared the lunch with recipes from their new cookbook entitled “Recipes and Remembrances.”

“All of the ladies of the team contributed,” said Wagner. “It’s some of our favorite recipes in the book, which is in memory of Lola Lane.”

Enjoying a brisk business and a full recreation room at the church, Wagner said that the Ms. Fits served at least 100 people at the buffet style lunch, and delivered 75 more meals throughout the county earlier in the morning.

The ladies of the team bought the supplies and cooked the recipes themselves. Food was served at the church from 12 noon through 2 p.m. that afternoon. Guests at the church had a chance to try a selection of foods from among the 204 recipes submitted by team members. Admission to the lunch cost $10 which is also the price of the cook book.
