Funeral services for Myra Cunningham Rascoe, 80, of Cadiz, will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2008, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 4 on Friday at the funeral home.

Dr. Tom Martin will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Little River Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mrs. Rascoe died on Monday, December 22, 2008, at 4:50 a.m., at Shady Lawn Nursing Center of natural causes.

Mrs. Rascoe was born on April 20, 1928, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Homer B. and Anna Boyd Cunningham.

Mrs. Rascoe was retired from the International Shoe Factory in Hopkinsville with 19 years of service; was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #7890; and was a member of the Cadiz Christian Church and the Women’s Fellowship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Rascoe; sister, Sarah Frances Cunningham; granddaughter, Dena Calhoun Babcock; and a great-granddaughter, Jessica Knickelbein.

Survivors include a son, Larry Rascoe of Cadiz; four daughters and sons-in-law, Alisha McKinley of Hermitage, Tenn.; Sharon and Morris McCormick of Athens, Tenn.; Cindy and Carl Calhoun of Cadiz, and Tammie Calhoun of Elizabethtown; brother and sister-in-law, Mack and Lillie Maye Cunningham of Cadiz; grandchildren, Jeffrey McKinley, Jennifer Shelton, Jaye Jaye and Kris Knickelbein, Larry Daniel Rascoe, Ami Rascoe, Jamey and Stephanie McCormick, Steven Calhoun, Stan and Laura Calhoun, Melissa and Robert Jagger, Stacey Dean, and Samantha Adkins; and great-grandchildren, Megan McKinley, Justin and Kristan Shelton, Ann and Cybil Knickelbein, Hayden McCormick, Christopher Calhoun, Tristan Calhoun, Chloe Calhoun, Caleb Calhoun, Ricky Babcock, Kobe Jagger, William Somarriba, Mathew Somarriba, Racheal Somarriba, Alyssa Dean Somarriba.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffrey McKinley, Larry Daniel Rascoe, Jamey McCormick, Steven Calhoun, Stan Calhoun, and Kris Knickelbein.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Members of VFW Post 7890 Ladies Auxiliary.
