Rev. Hal Shipley and Dr. Mike Jones officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Lawrence Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mrs. Hargrove died on Thursday, May 17, 2007, at 1:40 a.m., at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Hargrove was born on May 28, 1911, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Jesse C. and Myrt Davis Bridges.
Mrs. Hargrove was employed by Trigg County Hospital and Shady Lawn Nursing Home as an LPN; was a lifetime member of the Thomas & Bridges Association; the DAR, Eastern Star; and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Layton Lawrence in 1967; two brothers, Conrad Bridges and C.T. Bridges; and a grandson, Fenton Dawson in 2006.
Survivors include husband, Gaylon Hargrove of Cadiz; daughter and son-in-law, Grace Lane and Dalton Hancock of Cadiz; brother, Chappell Bridges of Granite City, Ill.; sister, Elaine Leneave of Paducah; grandchildren, Pam and Deano Oliver, Layton and Molly Dawson, and Mont and Kecia Dawson; granddaughter-in-law, Marsha Dawson; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Oliver, Carly Oliver, Josh Dawson, Dillon Dawson, Lexie Dawson, Lanie Dawson, Maddie Dawson, and Chase Dawson; step-grandchildren, Scott and Sandra Hancock, and Boyd Hancock; and step-great-grandchildren, Ellery Hancock, and Taylor Wade Hancock.
Jan Oakley, pianist, and Southern Tradition Quartet provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Mont Dawson, Layton Dawson, Deano Oliver, Doug Hargrove, David Hargrove, and Samuel Cossey.
