President Miss Gloria Frenette opened the meeting by asking chapter chaplain, Clyde Weaver to give the invocation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mrs. Nadine Weaver entertained everyone with some familiar Christmas songs on the piano. Some of the residents of Barkley Plantation joined Narfe members in the Plantation Dining Room. Miss Frenette then presented each resident with a small treat bag from the Chapter.
In appreciation for the many years of dedicated service to the Chapter, members held a special collection and presented the funds to Mrs. Mary Futrell for the orphanage founded by Mrs. Futrell and her late husband Maurice, in Bangalor, India.
Miss Frenette then asked everyone to tell their stories about a special Christmas celebration or Christmas toy. It brought back childhood memories for many. The meeting concluded with another song played by Mrs. Weaver.
