Mrs. Eble died on Friday, March 23, 2007, at her residence following a long battle with numerous chronic illnesses.
Mrs. Eble was born on October 26, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Ryan and Una Taylor Holman.
Mrs. Eble was very active in her church and community. She was President of her Sunday School class at Bellefontaine Baptist Church; was founding member of Ponderosa Baptist Church in Trigg County; member of Homemakers and Newcomers Clubs in Cadiz; member of the American Red Cross in Trigg County, where she served with her husband as chairmen of the Blood Drive for many years; responded with her husband to numerous disaster situations as American Red Cross volunteers; and was American Red Cross Volunteer of the year for Trigg County. Nancy and Al retired and lived in Cadiz for many years before moving to St. Louis to be near their children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Jacobs; and four sisters, Marguerite Morgan, Martha Dean, Jesse Williams, and Mary Barker.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred J. Eble, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Al, III, and Cynthia Eble; three daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie Maze, Nannette and Kenneth Barstow, and Michelle and Paul Lockhart; eight grandchildren, Ryan Maze, Jessica Barstow, Amanda Eble, Zachary Lockhart, Daniel Barstow, Danielle Lockhart, Joseph Eble, and Cael Lockhart; sister, Nell Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
