Funeral services for Nancy W. Harvey, 88, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Trigg County, were conducted of Friday, May 19, 2006, at 10 a.m., at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz.

Rev. Paul Cannon officiated at the services. Burial followed in Stewart County Memorial Gardens in Dover, Tenn.

Mrs. Harvey died on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at 9:30 a.m., at Pinecrest Manor in Hopkinsville following a long illness.

Mrs. Harvey was born on April 25, 1918, in Christian County. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary Jones.

Mrs. Harvey owned and operated Doc’s & Nancy’s Bait & Grocery Shop in Canton; and was a member of the Canton Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey “Doc” Harvey.

Survivors include three nephews, Harry Hudson and Frank Hudson, both of Hopkinsville, and James Hudson of Stewart County, Tenn.; and two nieces, Dorothy Hamilton of Clarksville, Tenn., and Delores Mott of Granite City, Ill.

Joe Bridges, soloist, and Clarissa King, pianist provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Harold Knight, Henry Higgins, Carl Jones, Wendell Wallace, Barry Littlejohn, Joe Walker, and Jerry Walker.
