Revs. Jimmie Oliver and Robert McIntosh will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz.
Mrs. Bland died on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 4:40 p.m., at Murray-Calloway County Hospital of natural causes.
Mrs. Bland was born on July 10, 1914, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Finis Dexter “Deck” and Lucy Belle Ezell Skinner.
Mrs. Bland was a homemaker; a member of the Happy Homemakers Club; and a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church, where she was the oldest living member.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Lee Bland; six brothers, Jack Skinner, Hubert Skinner, Lamont Skinner, Charles Clayton Skinner, Robert Skinner, and one in infancy; and a sister, Beadie Barnes.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jim Jones of Cadiz; grandchildren, Jennifer Morgan, Carnell Morgan, Kristi Conterez and Reuben Conterez; and six great-grandchildren, Kristina Jones, Carnell Morgan, Jr., Darnell Morgan, Larnell Morgan, Bre’Anna Conterez, and Tony Conterez; nieces, Sue Wire, Betty Jenkins, Patsy Craig, Ann Perrin, and Sue Curtis; nephews, Plomer Barnes, James Skinner, and Ronnie Skinner; and sisters-in-law, Opal Jones, Beulah Mitchell, and Ethyline Craft.
Rose Bush, pianist, and the Donaldson Creek Baptist Church Choir will provide the music.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Skinner, James Skinner, Plomer Barnes, Larry Sanders, Ernie Craig, and Ronnie Drennan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Wire, James Sanders, Jr., Frank Mitchell, Tom Calhoun, Larry Bland, Wilda Underwood, Debbie Sarnacki, Terri Burkey, Dixie Johnston, and Linda Marquess.
