Cadiz continues in its role as a country, bluegrass and gospel music Mecca with the Lakeland Jamboree’s hosting of live performances every weekend. Now managed by the husband and wife duo of Tommy and Lynn Wynn, the Jamboree features gospel performances on Friday, and live country and bluegrass on Saturdays.

The Wynns assumed management for owner Teresa Green of Clarksville on March 1.

For a Saturday performance, admission to the Jamboree is $3 for children under 12, $5 for guests over 12, and $7 for reserve seats. Mrs. Wynn said that guests can expect entertainment to last from 7-9:30 p.m.

For the April 5 show, Mrs. Wynn said, “We have three guests tonight, Becky Freeman, Roy Mitchell and Johnny Thompson.” Joining the Wynns on stage with the guests were house musicians Austin Hopson on guitar, Gary Williams on the drums and Bobby McDowell on bass.

“Our little town is in dire need of some activity, and the Lakeland Jamboree is a place for everyone to come in and enjoy some good, clean family fun,” said Mr. Wynn. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the Vietnam War, he added, “We have plenty of patriotic music to honor veterans.”
