Trigg County High School teachers have a new look this year, thanks to the new principal, Chad Pruitt.

“We’re professionals and we’re going to dress like professionals,” Pruitt said of his decision to set a new faculty dress code this year.

On every day of the week besides Friday, men must wear button-down shirts with ties and either khaki pants or slacks. The women are required to wear blouses, skirts, slacks or business suits. No one can wear open-toed shoes, sleeveless shirts, shorts, jeans, capris pants, low-cut blouses or skirts above the knee. The only time sweat suits or warm-ups is in P. E.

On Fridays, ties aren’t required, but jeans and T-shirts are still prohibited. Casual collared shirts are allowed, and Pruitt said all faculty members have been given a collared Nike shirt with the TCHS logo on the left breast.
