“Betrayed” by Robert K. Tanenbaum, District Attorney Butch Karp is drawn deep in a courtroom game of politics, power, lies, and murder. “Pam’s extra Picks” The Frankenstein series by Dean Ray Koontz, books 1-4. “Prodigal Son,” City of Night,” “Dead and Alive,” and “Lost Souls.”
New Fiction: “Murder in the Air” by Bill Crider, this is a Dan Rhodes mystery. Sheriff Rhodes has his hands full. First two local authors decide to write about him in their novels and the town is in an up raw about the fowl smell in the air. But when Lester Hamilton the owner of the chicken farm is found in the old rock pit Rhodes knows it is no accident.
“The Black Cat” by Martha Grimes, this is a Richard Jury mystery. An unidentified woman is found outside of the Black Cat a local pub and the only witness is a black cat. But the cat is not talking. Richard learns the woman was an escort and when other escorts are murdered Richard thinks he has a serial killer on his hands. But with the help of his dog Mungo the case will be solved.
