It’s still March and it is still National Nutrition and Women’s History Monty. You know I said I was going to stick with that theme. So, “Pam’s Picks” are …”400 Calorie Fix” by Liz Vaccariello, an easy New Rule for permanent weight loss! “Not for Ourselves Alone” this is the story of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony.

Two women born four years and 71 miles apart in a world ruled by men. You know the rest of the story. My up-to-date modern woman pick, is someone who in 1988 was created a Dame of British Empire, “And Furthermore” is a biography, of Judi Dench. ⌘Let’s Spring along to more good reading!

New Fiction: “Heartwood” by Belva Plain, this book returns to the beloved world of Evergreen. Iris must come to grips with the discovery of a long-held family secret. But it’s an emotional parting of another kind that looms on Iris’s horizon. As neither her beloved husband, nor the solidity of her marriage is protected.

“The Dinosaur Hunter” by Homer Hickam, the story of murder and a look into the world of fossils. Former L.A. detective Mike Wire is now a foreman on the Square C Ranch, owned by Jeanette Coulter. Paleontologist Dr. Norman “Pick” Pickford works out a deal to dig a few fossils found on the property. Soon after Pick happens on a discovery that could prove to be revolutionary, a menacing visitor is murdered and Mike realizes that the fossils may be worth killing for.

“The Prostitutes’ Ball” by Stephen J. Cannell, this is a Shane Scully novel. Detective Shane investigates the murder of a film producer in the wake of a decadent Hollywood party. Shane soon discovers this murder scene is that of one that happened thirty years ago.

New Christian Fiction: “Heart’s Aglow” by Tracie Peterson, this is book 2 in the Striking a Match series.

“Heart for Home” by Lauraine Snelling, this is book 3 in the Home to Blessing series.

Movies from Books: we have the books…”True Grit” by Charles Portis and “Lincoln Lawyer” by Michael Connelly.

New Audio Books on CD: “Live to Tell” by Lisa Gardner, and “In the Name of Honor” by Richard North Patterson.

New CDs: “Southern Gospel Treasury” by The Happy Goodmans, “Favorite Hymns from the Homecoming Friends” by Gaither Gospel Series, and “The Best of the Cathedrals.”

New DVDs: “Despicable Me,” and “Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses.”

Going on a trip for Spring Break? Why not stop by the library and pick up a few audio books for the drive. A book or two for those relaxing moments or a magazine to leaf through by the pool.
