Memorial services for Aubrey “Nick” Woodruff, Jr., 52, of Cadiz, were held Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Norman Cotton and Dr. Tom Martin officiated. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Woodruff died of natural causes at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

He was born May 7, 1958 in Trigg County to the late Aubrey Layton and Ruth Fern Swickard Woodruff.

Mr. Woodruff was a member of the Cadiz Christian Church and had worked as a deputy jailer in Trigg County.

He was preceded in death by one nephew, Mitchell Lee Bryant.

Survivors include two sisters, Susan Bryant (and husband Mitchell) of Cadiz and Layton Harper (and husband Bobby) of Cadiz; two sons, Nicholas Woodruff of Cadiz and Aubrey Woodruff of Cadiz; three nieces, Landee Bryant of Paducah, Katie Scott of Cadiz and Leah Harper of Lafayette, La.; two nephews, Ben Harper of Calif. and Aaron Harper of New Orleans, La.; and three great nephews, Cannon Scott, Caden Scott and Mitchell Elliot Bryant.

Music was provided by Angela Mosley, instrumentalist.
