Cadiz Police Chief Hollis Alexander hopes a witness to last Monday’s armed robbery outside Scot Market will step forward with information leading to a break in the case.

Alexander said that the suspect’s description remains vague, with only black shoes and blue jeans as a clue to the robber’s identity. “More than likely, the suspect is male, but we are not sure of that. We were told that the suspect has a deeper voice. I wish I could tell you that he or she was under arrest.”

At the scene of the robbery, Officer Scott Brown collected VHS video tapes from the store’s security cameras. Alexander said that he reviewed the tapes with Brown and Cadiz Police Major Duncan Wiggins. “We’ve reviewed the tapes and at this point in time have found anything out of the norm on the tapes.”
